Trentingrana Waffles
With its versatility and taste, cheese is just perfect for a quick and easy recipe that will give your dishes a refined and aesthetically pleasant touch.
Let's talk about waffles, and more precisely cheese waffles: tasty, perfect for buffets or aperitifs, where they can make a good impression as finger food, or as a main dish used as baskets for many cold and hot recipes.
There are various types of waffles (from bread dough, from flour) as well as different ways to prepare them. We will make them in a pan, using Trentingrana cheese.
The ingredients and preparation
The ingredients for 4 people are:
600 g Trentingrana cheese
2 knobs of butter (or 2 tablespoons of oil if you prefer)
Preparation is very simple and intuitive.
Start by heating a nonstick skillet and melting a knob of butter in it. Be sure to spread the melted butter all over the bottom of the skillet.
At this point create discs of grated Trentingrana of the desired size using a spoon and with the pan on medium heat. Try not to make them too thin.
When the Trentingrana has melted, let each waffle cook a few minutes on both sides being careful not to overcook.
When the waffles are golden brown and crisp, you can take them out of the pan, shape them again to your liking, and let them cool. You can use a bowl or glass to make a basket, a small cup to make small appetizer containers.
At this point your Trentingrana wafers are ready to embellish your table and make your dishes special.
