Among flowers and stars at Viote, on Monte Bondone

The Viote Alpine Botanical Garden is one of the oldest and largest in the Alps. Located just minutes from Trento, is one of the oldest and largest in the Alps. Located just minutes from 10 hectare and has a collection of about 2,000 species of high-altitude plants representing mountains from around the world. Many of these plants are endangered.
An extreme, fragile and unique environment that winds its way through rock beds, lakes, bogs, flowering meadows and forests. It talks about ourselves and how we relate to nature; it talks about mountain farming, the art of herbalism, medicinal, dyeing and poisonous species, climate change and our responsibility to the environment. Every summer there are exhibitions, family workshops, guided tours and special events o enjoy the nature of Viote of Monte Bondone. 

Far from city lights, not far from Trento, the Terrace of Stars is an ideal place for observing the night sky. Thanks to powerful telescopes and the guidance of MUSE astronomers, it is possible to experience admiring the universe surrounded by alpine nature. 

The programming is very rich and varied. Alongside astronomical observations, numerous activities for young and old, from music to theater, from stories to moments of in-depth study. During the day it is possible to observe the sun with the help of special filters.
