The queen of autumn in a spreadable version
Tantalizing and fragrant. Rustic and thick. A cheerful product because it is simple and able to bring us back to the flavors of the past. Chestnut was for centuries the bread of the poor. Today it is a product of excellence and niche, the pride of small territories and a delight for the palate, especially in the jam version.
Suggestions and pairings
Chestnut jam is ideal for filling desserts, or to be enjoyed on a slice of toasted bread and as an accompaniment to aged cheeses such as Trentingrana. To taste it at its best, accompany it with a Lagrein or Teroldego Rotaliano. But also with a good coffee or digestif, perhaps enriched with a drop of rum.
