Plot
This story is set in the pile dwelling village of Molina di Ledro, inhabited between the Early Bronze Age and the Middle Bronze Age. The pile dwellings stood between the water and the lake shore at the mouth of the Ponale stream and were often torn down and rebuilt after a fire. Preserved food remains show that the stilt dwellers ate bread, meat, vegetable and grain soups, freshwater mollusks, and wild fruits, especially dogwood, perhaps used to make a fermented drink. Among the artifacts, in addition to pottery, are weapons, agricultural tools, spinning, weaving and metallurgy tools, a canoe carved from a log, and prestige objects such as jewelry and bronze diadems.
