Walk to Lake Toblino
Amidst fairy legends and love stories, surrounded by forest and mountains stands Toblino Castle, which appears to almost be floating on the lake.
The castle
Toblino Castle stands on a peninsula and was built in the 12th century. It is completely surrounded by nature protected by the province of Trento and declared a biotope because of its botanical richness and the many species of birds and fish that live there.
Lake Toblino is located at the end of the Valle del Sarca, about 15 km from the city of Trento. Thanks to the mild climate, this area is rich in Mediterranean vegetation consisting mainly of vineyards, lemons, olives and rosemary.
