Sant'Orsola
Sant'Orsola is the cooperative that has made its small fruits the red and blue gold of Alta Valsugana and all of Trentino.
It was founded in 1979 to enhance small mountain patches with quality production and currently has more than 800 members.

The territory
Cultivation has expanded from Valsugana to Val dei Mocheni, the Piné and Vigolana plateau, and other areas of Trentino. In 1996 the European Union recognized Sant’Orsola as a P.O., Producers' Organization. Today Sant'Orsola's small fruits-strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, red currants are grown even above 1,000 meters above sea level and production is guaranteed year-round thanks to investments in Calabria (Locride) and Sicily (Acate, in the Ragusa region), where the harvest of raspberries and blueberries begins as early as the first days of March.

The history
Skilled technicians and agronomists work in the countryside, bringing knowledge and innovation. In 2019, to celebrate 40 years of activity, the highly organized citadel of Sant'Orsola called Village of Small Fruits, i.e., the cooperative's new headquarters, in Ciré di Pergine Valsugana (Trento), with an attached research center, was inaugurated. Variegata e di qualità la produzione di trasformati: composte, confetture, succhi, salse. Varied and of high quality is the production of processed products: compotes, jams, juices, sauces. Small fruits, good, healthy and the result of an agriculture that respects the land, the rhythms of nature and the work of people.
