Bats are extremely sensitive to environmental changes. In Europe, all species are considered endangered. There are several reasons for their decline: the use of pesticides in agriculture, light pollution, unwarranted persecution and, last but not least, changing building structures resulting in the disappearance of suitable roost sites.
The Bat box is made of PEFC-certified spruce with a metal roof and is designed to house five different species of bats. It increases the availability of shelter for these small mammals, promoting their conservation and valuable service in controlling the proliferation of insects harmful to humans, such as mosquitoes.
