The territory
The grapes ripen in the traditional single and double pergola vineyards of the Campo Rotaliano: a magnificent area surrounded by hills and towering mountains and crossed by the Adige River. The orchards grow in a soil that is always well drained and consisting of multiple layers of pebbles, gravel and sand.
The processing
With the support of family and friends, winemakers harvest lagrein grapes strictly by hand, indicatively starting in late September. This label is created through classic red vinification, with fermentation in steel barrels and skillful maturation for about 24 months in small oak barrels. This is followed by bottle aging for 6 months.
The pairings
In its early years, Lagrein Cortuta will be appreciated for its perfect synthesis of freshness and smoothness. In the years to follow, for greater roundness. This wine pairs perfectly with the barbecued red meats of the Trentino Breeders Federation as well as with game and aged cheeses made in the dairies of the Trentino valleys.
