Discover biodiversity with our spring activities

The first year of the project has resulted in the mapping of naturalistic elements of about fifteen areas distributed within the territory of Trento.

In the coming weeks, the species monitoring program will begin: it will integrate landscape data with information on the animal communities that inhabit these environments.

The project then proposes many other initiatives: from the installation of nest boxes for the common owl to the monitoring of allochthonous plants, from the design of new sustainable agricultural areas to the observation of Trento's animal species.

Involving citizens in collecting naturalistic data in green areas and urban agricultural environments is another important element of the project.

Becoming a citizien scientist is super easy: all you need is a phone, the free iNaturalist app and a lot of willingness to look around with curiosity. To date, the Earth-Air-Water page has more than 4,200 observations uploaded by those walking through the streets and surroundings of Trent who have come across some creature that caught their attention. 

Also being planned is a series of online appointments dedicated to urban biodiversity, which will reveal the many animals that inhabit the environments closest to humans.

A wealth that the progetto Earth-Air-Water project intends to preserve and enhance, with the awareness that the quality of the products we consume and the environments we visit depend on it.
