The territory
A native vine of Vallagarina, Marzemino has found its ideal habitat on the dark basaltic soils of the Isera hillside. The vines grow on the gravelly, calcareous, basaltic soil typical of the Isera area.
The processing
The manual harvesting of the grapes usually takes place in the last ten days of September. After the grapes are brought to the winery, the red wine-making process begins, with fermentation of the must at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Refinement in cement vats follows, before bottling.
The pairings
Its balanced flavour makes Marzemino a unique and recognisable wine. The ideal gastronomic pairings are first courses with mushroom sauces, white and red meat not enriched by excessive aromas, cold meats or sausages produced by the Trentino Breeders Federation. Etichetta Verde should be tasted fresh and served with delicate starters, first courses with mushroom sauces, white and red meat.
