The territory
Typical of Alto Adige, Lagrein has found fertile soil in the limestone-clay subsoil and thanks to the climate characterized by cool nights in the Piana Rotaliana,, where the winery in Roveré della Luna (Trento) operates. The alluvial soils were created by the carryovers of the Adige and Noce rivers. Rigli was born on the detrital soils of the Rio Molini above the village, on the alluvial cone that gives the village its name. The cluster is aesthetically perfect, characterized by a pyramid shape. An ancient vineyard with roots in the Middle Ages, cultivated by Benedictine monks and on the tables of nobles and clergymen.
The pairings
Lagrein's qualities go well with many traditional Trentino dishes. It goes well with canederli (dumplings), dry or in broth, red meats, especially stewed, but also grilled and roasted. It is perfect with medium and aged cheesesand cured meat appetizers. It should be served at a temperature of 16-18 degrees.
