Melinda

Melinda

Melinda is a large family of more than 4,000 families of producer members who grow apple trees in Val di Non and Val di Sole, territories that have always been particularly suited to apple growing due to their microclimate and altitude.

  • Founded in 1989
  • More than 4,000 families of producer members
  • Almost 400,000 tons of apples every year
  • First PDO apple in Italy

Melinda apples grow between 400 and 1,000 meters above sea level, in an area protected by mountains and blessed with a temperate, sunny climate. The glacial water and the Dolomite soil contribute to the fruit's crispness and quality. In spring, the Val di Non apple orchards transform into a spectacular expanse of white blossoms at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites. The Consortium works responsibly with the land, ensuring high quality and a fair income for producers. Furthermore, through local partnerships, it also promotes apples not suitable for fresh consumption for processing, reducing waste and making production increasingly sustainable.
