Bondone, the Chiese balcony
Bondone is discovered by strolling through alleys , stairways, and small squares , in a cozy village where frescoed houses tell the story of ancient devotion . Between memory and identity, the tradition of charcoal burners remains alive, along with iconic sites such as the Church of the Nativity and Castel San Giovanni , a sentinel over the Chiese Valley.
A few kilometers away, Storo is the home of " yellow gold ": Storo yellow flour from the Agri '90 cooperative . The Agri '90 cooperative grows and processes Marano wheat , producing a digestible and fragrant flour, the queen of soft and consistent polenta . Today, the same raw material is also used to make biscuits and crackers , even reaching the kitchens of great chefs.
