Mezzano, a romantic village

Guarded by the majestic Pale di San Martino, Mezzano (whose name already makes it clear that it is located in the middle of the Primiero valley) is a village where rurality is alive and time has stopped so that even the most hurried visitor can grasp it and share it.

Cataste & canzei is a permanent display of stacks tastefully and ingeniously transformed into street furniture and true works of art. There are about 30 of them, in all forms. Evocative, legendary, imaginative, realistic. It is up to the observer's eye to be carried away by the suggestions of wood and these surprising compositions. Walking through the wide pedestrian center of Mezzano means being accompanied by the typical cobblestones, discovering at every corner characteristic glimpses, reflections of fountains, harmony of flowers, wooden inserts, old planks with a lot of history to tell, small vegetable gardens, picturesque roofs.

The Primiero Cheese Factory cbased in Mezzano has more than 60 members, plus about 15 farmers who work only during the summer pasture period. 

Primiero cheese is named after the town where it was born and encompasses all the pastures and mountains that the landscape gives..
