Cialde di Trentingrana

Trentingrana wafers

The versatility and flavor of cheese in a quick and simple recipe that will give your dishes and your table a refined and aesthetically pleasing touch.

Let's talk about wafers, in this case cheese ones: tasty, perfect for occasions like buffets or aperitifs, where they can make a great impression as finger food, or as a main course used as baskets for many hot and cold recipes.

There are various types of wafers (made with bread dough or flour), just as there are various ways to prepare them. We'll make them in a pan, using Trentingrana cheese.

The ingredients for 4 people are:

The preparation, as mentioned, is very simple and immediate.

Start by heating a nonstick pan and melting a knob of butter. Make sure to spread the melted butter evenly over the bottom.

At this point, using a spoon and a pan over medium heat, create discs of grated Trentingrana of the desired size. It's best not to make them too thin.
Once the Trentingrana has melted, cook each wafer for a few minutes on each side (use a fork to help), being careful not to overcook them.

Once the wafers are golden and crispy, you can remove them from the pan, shape them as you like (you can use a bowl or a glass to make a basket, a small cup to create small containers for appetizers) and let them cool.

At this point, your Trentingrana wafers are ready to adorn your table and make your dishes special.
