Lagrein is a wine with personality, prized and sought after. Purple-red in colour, tinged with violet reflections, it has a soft and persistent bouquet of ripe red fruit, with balsamic notes and hints of cocoa, mint and mushrooms. Harvesting is done by hand together with careful destemming. This is followed by maceration of the grapes for two to three weeks. Fermentation takes place in conical vats, and ageing in oak barrels lasts at least six months.

TheLagrein Rigli, typical of Alto Adige, grows on the calcareous-clayey and alluvial soils of the Piana Rotaliana, with cool nights that enhance its aromas and structure. The historic Rio Molini vineyards, cultivated since the Middle Ages by Benedictine monks, produce characteristic and perfect pyramid-shaped bunches, bringing to the table a wine deeply rooted in tradition and terroir.
