Snow and skiing are an inseparable pair for this open valley furrowed by the Avisio stream. The history of Val di Fiemme is told in the splendid wood-paneled and frescoed halls of the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme in Cavalese. And then there are colorful forests in autumn and green pastures in summer for a landscape that surprises in every season. 

The historic heart of the valley is also found in the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme, with its wooden and frescoed halls in Cavalese. Local products showcase the dairy tradition with ricotta and other typical cheeses, along with speck and luganeghe sausages, including goat and sheep's milk ones. There is also a rich variety of honeys, once the main sweetener, now prized for their nutritional properties. The valley boasts over 12,000 hectares of community forests, where wood is an economic resource and an artistic material. Between the Lagorai and Latemar mountains, the Val di Fiemme is also a land of sport, with the Marcialonga attracting thousands of enthusiasts from around the world.
