Rotaliana e Paganella

Rotaliana and Paganella

From the mountain peaks one can appreciate bird's-eye views of the entire Plain. Sun-drenched vineyards and orchards stretch from the hills to the Adige River and draw the landscape, while country villages are characterized by noble palaces and small churches. In Rotaliana, culture and food and wine blend harmoniously thanks to the central elements of the area: the local farmers, who grow grapes and apples of the highest quality with hard work, commitment and pride.

The Piana Rotaliana is considered a wine paradise, celebrated by Goethe and Cesare Battisti for the beauty of its vineyards. The undisputed icon is Teroldego Rotaliano, a native red wine with an ancient history and DOC recognition, known since the Middle Ages. Its fame grew during the Council of Trent, when it was appreciated and cited in contemporary chronicles. Alongside this, Trentodoc, Pinot Noir, and artisanal grappas are also produced, expressing a living winemaking tradition. Among the area's outstanding agricultural products are the Zambana asparagus and apples, including classic varieties such as Golden Delicious and Red Delicious.
